Prim Orlík Meteorit LE

Orlík is the most pivotal model of our brand. A watch created on commission for the Czechoslovak army in 1965. Functional and rugged. For sixty years it has been accompanied by one important certainty: it endures.

Now it arrives in an entirely new edition. A dial made of meteorite older than our planet. A hand-crafted bezel. Inside, the in-house calibre Prim 95. Orlík Meteorit holds several firsts and pays tribute to all who are not afraid of the depths.

We placed meteorite in a watch with an in-house Prim calibre for the first time. That is a significant moment for our brand.

The dial is made from a genuine Muonionalusta meteorite, matter that was born before our planet. Its iron-nickel heart travelled through space at a time when the solar system was only just forming. After cutting and etching, it reveals the Widmanstätten pattern, a geometric structure that arises only from the extremely slow cooling of metal in space. Thanks to it, every dial is an original. Onto the surface of the meteorite plates we hand-set applied indices with a layer of Super-LumiNova®. We carefully select each plate so that only those with the most striking pattern make it into the watches.

We make the HyCeram® bezel by hand and the whole process takes roughly one work shift. This is exactly where each bezel acquires its character. The grinding runs radially from the centre outwards, creating a subtle sun-ray effect. The surface thus gains depth and vibrancy that change with every movement of the wrist.

Inside ticks the in-house calibre Prim 95, which can be viewed through the sapphire case back. The view reveals a new rotor with a pictogram and bridges decorated with the Nové Město engraving.

For the first time in history, Orlík has its own all-steel bracelet with the STISK clasp for quick length adjustment that anyone can manage. The design of the very first bracelet on a manufacture watch is the work of designer Lukáš Taneček. The inspiration was the spread wings of majestic eagles.

A limited edition in three colours, 50 numbered pieces each. Water resistance 200 m. The colours Stardust, Blue Planet and Dark Universe. For people who are good at what they do.
