150 hours of engraving
The style was inscribed into the Prim Orlík Art Deco LE through hand engraving. Using damascening, a very ancient technique, pure gold was gradually hammered into place. Strips of gold are inserted into the metal and then shaped into a decorative pattern through further hammering. This technique is commonly used on weapons, jewellery and high-value works of art.
The precision required for engraving on the small surfaces of watch components is extraordinary. The work is carried out under a microscope, and the engraver’s precise and unique craftsmanship requires 150 hours for each watch.
