Prim longcase clocks

Prim longcase clocks are tall standing clocks that are not hung on a wall but stand on the floor — furniture and a clock in one. A pendulum swings inside, the clock strikes the hours and some models play a melody; the range holds mechanical standing movements as well as radio-controlled versions that set themselves to the exact time. The case is wooden and glazed, so this is a piece you cannot miss in a room. It is a small category and the range changes over time. Dimensions and weight are given in the detail.
