PRIM Spartak 39

About the collection

The first Czechoslovak model from 1954 is back. And right away in the most colourful edition the iconic Prim watches have ever had.

In 1954, the first Czechoslovak series-produced wristwatches were completed in Nové Město nad Metují. The watch was called Spartak. The Prim brand did not yet exist back then. It was registered only two years later and first appeared on the dials at the end of 1957.

Spartak was the first. Not only chronologically. It stood at the very beginning of domestic watchmaking and had its name before the brand itself. Out of respect for that moment, the dial still bears just one name. Spartak. The only Prim watches that do.

Prim Spartak 39 brings colourful dials to the first Czechoslovak watches. Five variants with a playful gradient dial: Moonlight, The calm before the storm, Lagoon, Sand Wind and Petrol.

It is the most playful approach to colour among Prim’s iconic models.

The beginning of more than 70 years of the brand’s history. A true milestone.

About the model

Spartak is not just a model. It is a tribute to the beginnings.

Prim Spartak 39 moves it into a new form. Instead of nostalgia, it brings the freedom to choose your own colour and mood. Five variants with a playful gradient dial that changes with the angle of the light: Moonlight, The calm before the storm, Lagoon, Sand Wind and Petrol.

Five shades. Five moods. One solid foundation. None of the iconic Prim watches has ever had so many colours in a single edition. For the brand, it is the most colourful moment in its history. Proof that tradition lives on and keeps moving forward.

A watch for every day. For the morning coffee, the commute, dinner in the evening. A mechanical ritual that needs no reason. And a colour that makes the watch truly yours.

Steel case 39 mm in diameter and 9.6 mm thick. Lug width 20 mm. Sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating. Baton hands with Swiss Super-LumiNova luminescence. Inside beats the automatic Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement with a 42-hour power reserve. Water resistance 50 m.

An open edition. A watch that carries history and shines with life at the same time.

Prim Spartak 39 shows that tradition does not have to stand still.

Tereza Voborníková becomes a Prim ambassador

The face of the new Spartak 39 edition is Olympic medallist and two-time Biathlete of the Year Tereza Voborníková.

Biathlon is a sport of precision under pressure. Our watches are built on the same discipline, only they are fine-tuned in the workshop instead of on the shooting range. Both share the same beginning, patience and hard work that is never visible right away. Years of tough training only show with time.

Tereza Voborníková persevered in her sport and her moment came. Spartak stood at the birth of Czech watchmaking and still carries that in its name today. Bringing them together in one edition makes sense. Both are proof that a beginning and perseverance are worth it. That is why Tereza is becoming the face of Spartak 39.

She will wear Spartak 39 in the Lagoon colour, with a turquoise-and-black dial and a grey strap. We engraved something important to her on the case back so that it is always with her and brings her luck. What it says is for her alone. 🤫
