The family company MPM-Quality is the sole owner of the Prim trademarks in the Czech Republic for wristwatches and pocket watches, alarm clocks, clocks and other watchmaking products and service services.
The dispute over the PRIM brand has a winner
The long-running disputes over the Prim trademark no. 165917 ultimately culminated in court proceedings at the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic. And it, by its judgment of 23 November 2020, annulled the decision of the Industrial Property Office, which six years ago declared this trademark of MPM-Quality v.o.s. invalid.
In the world of watches, we still play first fiddle
On the basis of this decision, the Prim trademark was reinstated and our company thus defended its right to use the graphic and word logo of the Prim brand. This was purchased in 2001 from the company Eutech, which was the direct successor of the Chronotechna enterprise, where the production of original Prim watches began.
We are thus a proud manufacturer of Prim watches with traditional logos.
