Who is Josef Kakrda?
Josef Kakrda is a Czech racing driver with an extraordinarily rich career. Motorsport is truly in his blood – he inherited his love of speed from his father, who was among the pioneers of autocross in Czechoslovakia.
He started on the Easter formula in hillclimb races, then qualified for circuit racing, where he represented Czechoslovakia for seven years in the international Peace and Friendship Cup. Later he became part of a team preparing vehicles for the Paris–Dakar Rally, where he completed the legendary race three times in the truck category. He also has a victory at the Pharaons Rally in Egypt to his name.
