PRIM trademark

MPM-Quality a.s. is the rightful owner of the PRIM trademark, which it duly acquired in 2001 from the former owner – Chronotechna Šternberk (Eutech).

Our company also owns historical graphic and combined PRIM trademarks with priority dating back to 1955.

We are authorized to use the PRIM brand for all products for which it is registered, including the original logos of the national enterprise.

REGISTERED TRADEMARKS

HISTORICALLY THE OLDEST LOGO CURRENTLY USED

The first PRIM trademark was registered in 1955 by Chronotechna from Šternberk to designate the timekeeping devices it produced. It consisted of the letters PRIM, which taper towards the edge and have a border around them that is interrupted at the top (the so-called loaf shape). In 1958, another PRIM trademark was registered by the then national enterprise Chronotechna in the same graphic form as the one from 1955. This mark was also registered for wristwatches.

Today, we use the PRIM logo, created in 1968 at the national company Chronotechna in cooperation with the employees and graphic typographers of the time, to mark our watches.

PRIM MANUFACTURE 1949

Manufacture has its own significance in the watchmaking world, it is a category in itself. The PRIM brand claims the pinnacle of watchmaking self-sufficiency with the PRIM Manufacture 1949 logo. This logo emphasizes that the given model is equipped with a mechanical movement of its own design.

SIMPLIFIED LOGO – IKONA
Our team of graphic designers created a logo that reflects our values ​​of tradition and modernity. The letter P is connected by a circular arc, which represents the passage of time. This element is a key symbol of our brand for us. You will gradually see the new logo on all our new
models and promotional activities.
PICTOGRAM – NOVÉ MĚSTO ARCHES

The pictogram, i.e. the symbol of the Nové Město arches, refers to the distinctive gables of houses on the square in Nové Město nad Metují. This architectural element is characteristic of the city where the Czechoslovak watchmaking tradition was born in 1949.

We draw upon the capacity of a strong company with 25 years of experience in watchmaking, we are the only company in the watchmaking sector to hold the CZECH MADE certificate, and we regularly certify new PRIM models every year.

PRIM watches from our production are constantly tested and improved, which is why they set trends in the industry. Our customers include prominent personalities, athletes, celebrities, but above all, you, our demanding customers, who appreciate the everyday durability and quality of PRIM watches. Our designers and watchmakers at our company’s headquarters regularly create new collections and use the latest technologies and materials.
