On August 27–29, the Czech Republic Championship of Historical Models 2021 took place at Raná airfield.
“The competition was a success despite the slightly unfavourable Friday weather. We spent a beautiful competition weekend at Raná. A total of 49 modellers and 231 aircraft models entered, and we flew in a total of twenty competition categories,” described Jiří Hruška, president of SAM 95 Bohemia z.s.
“As organisers, we did our best. Most participants were, I believe, satisfied — including the timekeepers, both male and female, who are all the same age, wrapped up their summer holidays and are all starting secondary school tomorrow. In conclusion, I would like to once again thank our sponsors: the municipality of Kamenné Žehrovice, the company SD Group, the firm Prim – maker of Czech watches, Sláva Štork and his company Czech Aero – manufacturer of kits for historical and modern models, and the firm Modell Studio – manufacturer of pine spars and seller of other modelling materials,” added one of the organisers, Jiří Hloušek.
